A proposal lasts a few seconds. The “yes”, the trembling hand, your partner’s face the instant they realise what’s happening. Seconds. And yet it’s one of the moments you’ll remember most from your whole life together.
That’s why it’s worth planning calmly. You don’t need a movie-scale production: you need a few things, done thoughtfully. After being behind dozens of proposals, these are the ones that genuinely make the difference.
1. The spot: make it mean something
The most common mistake is hunting for “the prettiest place”. The best spot isn’t the most spectacular one, it’s the one that tells your story: the café where you met, the beach from your first trip, the viewpoint you climb every summer.
If you don’t have a place of your own, Tarragona and the Costa Daurada offer settings that are hard to beat: Tamarit castle at dusk, the Balcó del Mediterrani, a quiet cove early in the morning, or the Priorat vineyards in low sun. The point isn’t the postcard: it’s feeling comfortable enough to let the emotion out.

2. The time of day: light is everything
The hour completely changes the memory. Golden hour —just before sunset— is warm, flattering and calm. Mid-morning, many spots are empty and you get privacy. Avoid midday: harsh light and heat help neither the photo nor the nerves.

3. The secret: how to keep them from guessing
The hardest part is keeping your partner from suspecting. A couple of tricks that work: invent a “normal” plan (a walk, a dinner, a work excuse), don’t suddenly change your routine, and if someone will be nearby to capture it, have them arrive early and stay at a distance.
4. The ring (and the plan B)
Keep the ring in a secure pocket, not in a box that bulges. Think about what you’ll say —even if it doesn’t come out later, having thought it helps— and have a rain plan B: another covered spot, or another date. One mishap shouldn’t ruin the moment.

5. The most important thing: keeping it forever
Here’s what almost no one plans for in time. The proposal happens in seconds, and the nerves blur the memory. Having that instant truly kept —the exact moment, the reaction, the emotion— is a gift you’ll be grateful for your whole life.
We cover the proposal discreetly, from a distance, without your partner seeing us until the “yes”. And then we come out and do a full couple session with the ring already on, so you don’t end up with five photos of the moment but with the whole day.
And we don’t just shoot: with the experience of many proposals, we help you plan it —the spot, the timing, how to keep the secret— so it turns out the way you pictured it. If you like, tell us your idea and we’ll put together a tailored quote: with whatever you have in mind, however little, we can start shaping it.
Because you’ll remember it your whole life. Make it show.
