Wedding photographer in Salou

We are two brothers from Reus, ten minutes from Salou. We know the coves of Cap de Salou, the light through the palms along the promenade and the blue hour over Platja de Llevant. Our photography is natural, documentary and free of stiff poses — made as much for local couples as for the international, destination weddings that choose the Costa Daurada.

Your Salou wedding, told the way it really was

Salou is open sea, palm trees and pines that run right down to the water. It is one of the most international wedding towns on the Costa Daurada: seafront hotels, couples flying in from all over, and celebrations that blend languages, cultures and two families meeting for the first time that same weekend. We have always worked here, because we live in Reus, fifteen minutes away — the Salou coast is our back garden.

I am Ferran, the brother behind the stills camera. My brother Eric shoots the film. We work every wedding together but each of us has his own eye: I look for the light, the small gesture, the portrait that will still hold up in twenty years. I won't make you repeat your entrance three times or line you up staring at the lens. My job is that when you open these photos ten years from now, you feel exactly how that day felt.

We know which coves allow what, we know the hour the sun stops beating down on Passeig Jaume I, and we know where to find shade and privacy on an August afternoon. That is the difference between a photographer who drives in for the day and one who grew up looking at this sea.

Where we photograph in Salou

Salou gives you a lot within a short walk: from the hidden cove to the palm-lined promenade, from the lighthouse to the long beach. These are the corners we can read with our eyes closed.

Cala Crancs and the Cap de Salou coves

The coves of Cap de Salou — Cala Crancs, Platja dels Capellans — are small, turquoise and framed by pines that reach the sand. They are my favourite place for couple portraits: the evening light bounces off the water and we get natural shade and privacy even when the main beach is packed.

Far de Salou (the lighthouse)

The lighthouse, high on the headland cliffs, is pure horizon and clean drama. We head up late in the day for portraits with the sea behind you and the sky breaking into colour. It is the perfect frame for a couple who want a wide, uncluttered image with no tourists in shot.

Passeig Jaume I and the Font Cibernètica

The seafront promenade, with its row of palms and the Font Cibernètica fountain, is the timeless Salou. Early on it is still quiet and the light falls through the palms like a lattice — ideal for a relaxed stroll and photographs with the real flavour of the town.

Torre Vella

The 16th-century Torre Vella brings stone, history and a tucked-away garden just metres from the sea. It works beautifully as a counterpoint: after the beach, a frame with texture and character for the calmer, quieter portraits.

Platja de Llevant at first light

Platja de Llevant is long and fine-sanded, and at dawn it is entirely ours. I love proposing an early-morning session or a first look at the water’s edge, with the town still asleep and a light that never comes back for the rest of the day.

Seafront hotels and inland masias

Salou is full of large hotels with sea-facing ballrooms and gardens, ideal for destination weddings. If you want something more rural, a few minutes inland there are masias set among the vineyards. We know both worlds and shape the coverage to each.

Light off the sea and through the palms

Salou has a light all its own: hard and bright at midday, soft and golden as the sun drops west over the headland. My job is to dance with that light, not fight it. I save the portraits for golden hour, use the shade of the pines in the coves and let the water act as a natural reflector.

I like clean photography with true colour — the turquoise of the coves, the green of the pines, the white of the hotels — no heavy filters and no trends that age badly. I document the day as it happens: the tears, the laughter, the uncle on the dance floor, the grandmother welling up. Poses only where they help; moments, all of them.

How I shoot a Salou wedding

  • A pre-visit or video call to get to know you and plan the timeline around the day’s light and tides.
  • Golden-hour portraits in the Cap de Salou coves or at the lighthouse, away from the crowds.
  • Documentary coverage of the whole day — prep, ceremony, drinks and party — without interrupting anything.
  • A second eye coordinated with my brother’s film: we never get in each other’s way, we always complement.
  • A private high-resolution gallery, careful editing and delivery within the agreed timeframe.
  • Regular work with international couples: we communicate in Catalan, Spanish and English with ease.

Real work

A selection in our documentary style. We don’t illustrate with fake “Salou” imagery: we show real work so you can see how we read light and people. If you want the moving version, take a look at our wedding video work in Salou.

Frequently asked questions

Do you photograph destination and international weddings in Salou?

Yes, all the time. Salou hosts many weddings for couples flying in from abroad and celebrating in seafront hotels. We are used to multicultural weddings with several languages and traditions, and we communicate in English with complete ease.

Do you speak English with guests and suppliers?

Yes. We handle all communication in English — before, during and after the wedding — and work smoothly with wedding planners, hotels and international guests. We also work in Catalan and Spanish.

Can you photograph in the Cap de Salou coves?

Yes, they are public beaches. For couple sessions we choose quiet hours (dawn or dusk) for privacy and the best light. We advise you on timing, tides and any permit your celebration may require.

Do you shoot photo and video together?

Yes, and it is what we recommend. We are two brothers: I take the photographs and Eric films, coordinated from the first minute so neither discipline gets in the other’s way. Booking us together gives you complete, coherent coverage of the day.

Where do you travel from, and do you cover all of Salou and Cap de Salou?

We are based in Reus, about fifteen minutes from Salou, and we cover the whole town, Cap de Salou and the nearby inland masias with no added travel fee.
